ABOUT BELLEVUE UNITED FC
Bellevue United FC is a non-profit organization that has provided soccer opportunities to our community for several decades. At Bellevue United FC our mission is to provide all youth the opportunity to play the world's game of soccer. Specifically, this includes learning the values of teamwork and respect, dedication and sportsmanship, as well as gaining the technical skills of the game.
Bellevue United FC started off as Bellevue Youth Soccer over 40 years ago which was a leading soccer club in the Northwest organizing games across Washington and Vancouver BC. The club's leadership role in the area led to the formation of the Washington Youth Soccer Association.
Our players learn at a level that matches their ability and desire without regard to race, creed, gender or ethnic origin. They enjoy environments that positive and safe, supported by parents, coaches and volunteers that are critical to every players' development.
Bellevue United FC Rec coaches, assistants and managers are parent volunteers. Adult volunteers are required to register for each soccer season of participation. Click on on the button below to register as a coach. As part of the volunteer registration process, adults must submit a Risk Management Application (RMA) and clear the background check prior to team assignment and complete the SAFE training.
The Fall Rec season typically runs September through October, with an optional kickoff Jamboree on Labor Day Weekend, and an end of season Jamboree in early-November. Updates to season details will be posted on the website. Practice schedules will be available at the Coaches Meeting in August. Game schedules for U8 and above will be available on the EYSA website or District 2 website. Micro game schedules will be communicated via email in August.
Through our partnership with Seattle Sounders FC, we provide our volunteer coaches with training, weekly practice curriculum and on-field assistance.
Please go to Washington Youth Soccer - Coaching Education to find out about certification and classes. Courses for EYSA (Bellevue United FC) coaches will be announced in the near future.
Commitment is 3-5 hours per week in the fall.
EARN MONEY AS A REFEREE /
Adults and Kids 13+ can referee and get paid. Great first job for youths; great way for adults to support their child's team.
Being a referee is one of the best things that soccer players and parents can do. You can help out your club, improve your knowledge of the game, and earn some spare change too. More youth and adult referees are needed, especially adult referees. Games are self-assigned based on your ability and availability.
The Eastside Youth Soccer Association (EYSA) of which Bellevue United FC is a member is also in need of referees. Each BUFC Select Team is required to add a Ref-In-Pool to the referee system. It's usually a parent who becomes the Ref-In-Pool for their child's team, but it can be any adult who is associated with the team.
Commitment is as little or much as you want on weekends.
OUR FIELDS /
Bellevue United FC teams will primarily practice and play home games at the locations listed. At times, field availability may require us to use other fields and when this occurs we make every attempt to keep the location as close as possible.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS /
The Bellevue United FC Board of Directors are volunteers. We meet the first Monday of the month to discuss and vote on all matters of our non-profit organization. All parents with a child in the program are welcome to join any board meeting.
